Community Garden Design CoursePosted on: Tuesday 16th July 2013
Turning unused urban land into productive community spaces. This 5 day course will equip you with the skills and confidence to design and initiate a community growing space. With leading tutors and based on practical experience this insightful, inspiring and practical course draws on 5 years of project experience developing community gardens as well as a wealth of knowledge in organic horticulture, gardening for wildlife and permaculture design.
To be held at Pen Dinas, Cwm Harry’s own organic horticulture training centre in Newtown, we will be working on site designs for 2 real projects, one in Llanidloes and one in school grounds in nearby town of Caersws.
This is a consultative design process which enables a design to meet the needs of different client groups whilst generating a coherent and beautiful garden plan and strategy for development. As a course participant you will gain first hand experience and have the chance to shape the development of a real life project.
